Leak detection powder and UV Lamp

Leak detection powder and lamps are used to identify leaks in your filter, so you avoid replacing expensive spare parts. In case of discharge from the filter, by adding fluorescent leak detection powder that lights up with a UV lamp, leaks can be located so that you simply have to replace the affected filters.

For optimal leak detection, the leak detection powder is fed directly into the filter suction and then settles as a fine, thin layer over the entire dust side. The powder has an average particle size of approx. 4 µm and can therefore penetrate from the dust side to the clean air side in the event of any leakage. After repairing a leak, we recommend that you look for another powder sample. In this leak detection, it is advantageous to switch to a different toner to be able to distinguish between tests 1 and 2.

For leak detection, AG offers two different UV lamps - a compact pocket version and a larger model with enough light intensity to scan even the largest filter housings. In addition, we offer fluorescent powders in the colors green, yellow and pink, packed in 4 kg buckets, so they are easy to handle. With its very fine particle size, the powder has extremely high performance. It has a high viscosity and is heat stable up to 300 degrees.
